Parizaad had drama enthusiasts in a chokehold – fascinated by the main character and the plot and infiltrated every other household. The creators of the series realize that there is nothing quite like watching something on the big screen – which is why the show that grabbed you is going to release its final in theaters on January 22, three days before it was released on television.
Nasar Khan, Head of Public Relations at Hum Network, said Pictures “it’s definitely confirmed – the last episode of Parizaad will screen nationwide in theaters, the theatrical release date is January 22, Saturday, and the TV air date is January 25. The final will hit theaters three days before it airs on television.
Directed by Shehzad Kashmiri, Parizaad is based on the novel by Hashim Nadeem and the story revolves around a dark-skinned main character – played by the versatile Ahmed Ali Akbar – who has a pure heart and is gifted but constantly ignored and treated badly by the people around from him. The drama tells an interesting and unconventional story about Parizaad’s struggles as he navigates through life.
The cast includes Nauman Ijaz, Syed Muhammad Ahmed, Urwa Hocane, Saboor Aly, Ushna Shah, Yumna Zaidi, Mashal Khan, Tipu Shah, Kiran Tabeer, Leyla Zuberi, Madiha Rizvi and Malik Hamid Raza.
The drama gained so much popularity that it crossed borders – Indian designer Manish Malhotra used the instrumental version of Parizaad‘s OST for its clothing campaign last November.
Delighted fans of the drama and the creator were thrilled and appreciated that the series not only reached new heights in Pakistan, but also crossed the border. Parizaad is one of the few series to have been appreciated for its quality, its actors and the importance given to Urdu literature.
Akbar’s character, Parizaad, was also on a packet of crisps a few days ago. Fans love merch – maybe Akbar could get involved.
We’re excited to see what surprises the final can bring, whether it’s twists or more unofficial merchandise.
