Introducing Bamboo Learning for iOS: The First Touch and Voice App for Kids to Improve Reading and Reading Comprehension, Now Available on iPad and iPhone | State

SEATTLE, December 7, 2021 / PRNewswire-PRWeb / – Bamboo Learning, Inc. today introduced the Bamboo Learning app for iOS, a tactile and vocal reading and listening comprehension program for children in Kindergarten to Grade 5 year. The Bamboo Learning app gives children a unique, voice-guided, self-paced experience of reading and listening to books and incorporates interactive activities to improve fluency and reading comprehension, promote active listening, broaden learning vocabulary and build self-confidence.

Bamboo Learning offers over 25 free books and hundreds of free level reading and listening activities for every grade from Kindergarten to 5th grade. Up to six children per family can use Bamboo Learning independently. Bamboo Learning is a free download, available today in over 170 countries from the Apple App Store at http://www.bamboolearning.com/iosapp.

HOW DOES LEARNING BAMBOO WORK?

Once parents have gone through a simple and unique setup wizard and selected an animal avatar (cat, elephant, frog, monkey, pony, tiger) for each child, kids can easily use Bamboo Learning without the need for the help from parents or caregivers.

Every day, the Panda (told by the man) of Bamboo Learning welcomes each child and guides them through activities adapted to their grade level. Children can select a book from a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction titles via touch or by using their voice. Then, kids embark on a one-of-a-kind interactive literary experience with professional narrators reading the story and beautifully designed screens with illustrations and text to follow along with the narrator. Every few sentences or paragraphs, depending on grade level, the narration pauses and the Bamboo Learning app offers listening comprehension questions. Children can answer questions by voice or touch – we give them the choice.

Bamboo Learning’s pioneering patent-pending solution assesses children’s voice or touch responses and provides immediate feedback to the learner. The panda praises the children when they answer correctly and encourages them to try again if they answer incorrectly. To keep kids engaged, Bamboo Learning includes professional custom-designed sound effects accompanying correct and incorrect answers; children earn tokens (with sound effects) when they answer the questions correctly.

“As a former educator, I know how essential conversational learning is to improve children’s reading and listening comprehension in context, vocabulary and storytelling skills,” said Irina good, co-founder and director of content, Bamboo Learning. “Bamboo Learning for iOS is the very first app to give kids the choice of voice or touch response. We’re excited to make it available today for families to use on iPads and iPhones in over 170 countries. “
